Programme yourself for mind management

Image
Programme yourself for mind management In every difficulty there is an opportunity. Life is really a choice... to be either wise, not wise or otherwise. A wise king wanted advice about what to do when he faced a real crisis in his life. He met his master. The master gave him a locket and told him to open it only when he was in difficulty. After some years he was defeated in a battle and he lost his kingdom. He was worried and was hiding in a cave. He suddenly remembered what his master had told him. He opened the locket and there he found a note, "even this will pass", and a second note which said, "if one door closes another door opens". He gained strength from this piece of advice and after a month won his kingdom back. He went to his master and thanked him and asked a question: "Why does the door close?" "The door is always open, your mind is closed," replied the master. There are two types of worlds we live in. The visible world and the invis

All About Success

Image
All About Success Success can be measured from two standpoints: External and the internal. Externally it is the measure of a job well done and recognition. Internally it is a feeling of achievement and wholeness derived from the completion of a task or the fulfilment of a desire. Is a true measure of success the outer accolades or the inner joy and peace that is experienced when we know we have performed well? Our goals are based on our desires and aspirations. When we fulfil a desire or achieve a goal we feel happy and successful. But shortly another desire arises and we feel incomplete and begin to strive again. Occasionally, when we reach a goal we feel a void in our lives and do not know what to do next. Success can also be measured by the feeling of comfort we have with ourselves. This happens when we live according to our intrinsic nature. If we attain what we want and still find something lacking then we know that either our desire was not desirable or the means adopted were not

Handshake Actually

Handshake Actually A smart attire and a charming smile may be essential but a firm handshake actually holds the key to bagging a job, a new study has suggested. An international team has carried out the study and found that job applicants with firm handshakes do stand a far better chance of being hired by employers as compared to candidates with a limp grip. And a good, sturdy grip while holding eye contact can be even more beneficial for women, it found. According to researchers, those with good shakes are perceived as sociable, friendly and dominant, whereas those with a weak grip are seen as introvert, shy and neurotic, the 'Daily Mail' reported. "We found that the first impression begins with a handshake that sets the tone for the rest of the interview," lead researcher George Stewart said. In fact, the researchers at Iowa University have based their findings on an analysis of mock interviews of around 100 students with a recruitment specialist. Before and after e

THE DONKEY

Image
THE DONKEY One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off! MORAL : Life is goi

God's Coffee

Image
God's Coffee A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee. When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the

How to reduce petrol and gas price..Egg logic A man eats two eggs each morning for breakfast. When he goes to the grocery store he pays 60 cents a dozen. Since a dozen eggs won't last a week he normally buys two dozen at a time. One day while buying eggs he notices that the price has risen to 72 cents. The next time he buys groceries, eggs are 76 cents a dozen. When asked to explain the price of eggs the store owner says, "The price has gone up and I have to raise my price accordingly". This store buys 100 dozen eggs a day. He checked around for a better price and all the distributors have raised their prices. The distributors have begun to buy from the huge egg farms. The small egg farms have been driven out of business. The huge egg farms sell 100,000 dozen eggs a day to distributors. With no competition, they can set the price as they see fit. The distributors then have to raise their prices to t he grocery stores. And on and on and on. As the man kept buying egg
