Ecological experts say in the next 50 years, countries may be reduced to war over the natural resource key to human survival. The danger is nearer than we all think. That mandatory glass of cool water after a hot, sveltering day might be harder to come by. Only 1 percent of total water on our planet is available for drinking. The world human population has tripled in the last century, and the consumption of fresh water has increased sevenfold. The amount of water available for each human has fallen by 40% over the period of four decades. Two out of five inhabitants of the planet experience difficulty in obtaining water.
